Fun fact – Patricio and I love a rooftop. We feel free, and like we’re on top of the world. When we go to Austin for nights out, you will not find us down on 6th street, but high above the crowds on the various rooftop bars on 4th street. Up until our recent discovery (rather, obsession) of Paramour, nothing in San Antonio filled that need to be on an open roof. Paramour changed that for us. Paramour is a coffee bar downtown that hosts a myriad of espresso, cocktails, wines and beers along with some delicacies. It’s an eclectic mix of fun furniture, funky playlists and a gingham- clad staff. We’ve been spending our Saturday afternoons there boozing and blogging.
We usually come after brunch, but today we grabbed a quick bite at the SATX favorite, Los Robertos, before heading down here to work on upcoming posts. On days like today we like to be comfortable and ready to head wherever the day takes us – I recently came across a plaid romper at Old Navy that has become one of my summer mainstays. It’s been rainy, so a fatigue jacket was necessary (Check out The Mint List for details). Patricio grabbed his Gap jacket that is weather-proof, paired with Khakis and terry cloth polo from J.Crew.
You can find us lounging on the green couch in the corner – or on their outside deck full of brightly colored furniture and bar stools. Paramour is a great way to take in the city. Make sure what you’re wearing is weather appropriate and ready to climb five flights of stairs. You didn’t read that wrong – You have to climb five flights to get up here (insert sighing emoji) - But a great workout if you’ve been slacking lately! We’re now Paramour enthusiast, and you can be certain to find us here each Saturday starting our day off with espressos – and ending with a fun bag. You didn’t read that wrong either – And I’m not going to let you in to one of Paramour’s best not-so-secret secret’s – you’ll just have to come and discover the hype yourself.
